About the bassoon cane splitter
Making and adjusting reeds is a never-ending job for bassoonists. The first step is splitting a tube of cane into pieces. The designer points out that the well-made commercial splitters cost well over US$100, and offers this printed tool as a cheaper way to split cane.
The page doesn't go into how to use it, so it suits players who already know the reed-making process. It's from the same designer as the bassoon reed flat shaper in the library.
