About the Transverse flute
A simple side-blown flute in the style of a fife. You blow across the mouth hole against its sharp edge, and closing the finger holes lengthens the vibrating air column to lower the note. With every hole closed it plays C5. It covers an octave, and you can reach higher by overblowing. The designer stresses that even a simple flute needs precise hole sizes and spacing, so print it at 100% scale.
Because it's long and thin with a small footprint, there are versions with 'wings' that steady the first layers and snap off afterwards, which reduces the risk of a failed print. A fingering chart PDF is included. It pairs nicely with the printable collapsible flute stand.
