About the Chirping bird whistle
A classic water warbler. Blow into the tail of the printed bird and it gives a steady, high whistle. Add a little water and the air bubbling through it breaks the tone into a chirping, trilling birdsong. It was designed for a 'Make It Loud' challenge, and the page explains how it works.
It prints cleanly in PLA or ABS at full size or 75% and needs no cleanup. There's an educational edition for translucent filament, so you can see inside, and two holiday editions with helix decorations (the single helix is hard to print). Between uses it's a nice desk ornament. The videos show the designer's sound test and another maker's print.
