About the Ocarina of Time
The designer's take on the Ocarina of Time from the Zelda games. It's a 12-hole alto in C with standard fingering, playing A4 with all holes closed up to F6 with all open. Low notes need little breath, and more open holes need more air pressure. The internal shape is designed to reduce airy high notes. Version 3 lowered the airway from 1.2 mm to 1 mm for a sweeter, less airy sound and a better breath curve. A version without the Triforce is included.
Print standing on the mouthpiece with no supports (brim if needed), at 0.2 mm and 20% infill, using a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.8 mm walls, 4 top and bottom layers and outside-to-inside wall order. The designer warns that other nozzles or wall orders can change the tuning and make the airway or sound hole too small. Avoid stringing, and make sure the sound hole and airway print clean, since blobs there ruin it. The Triforce segments are glued on afterwards. The sound test was recorded by a player, not the designer.
