About the Customizable ukulele

A playable printed ukulele, tested by a professional musician who plays it in the (French) video below. The body has slots for decorative inserts: three squares, four rectangles, a round one and one for the neck. You can print them in contrasting colours, or with a colour change partway up, to personalise the instrument.

It prints without supports in PLA. The designer suggests three walls for the body and six or seven for the neck and head, as Prusa recommends for its printed guitar, so the neck holds up under string tension. Add a set of ukulele strings and tuning pegs. A string action gauge helps with the final setup.
