About the Electric Upright Bass

This remix stretches the O'Cello's design up to the fingerboard of a full-size upright bass, with a reworked bottom section. It took about a week of round-the-clock printing, threads onto a 3/4-inch steel rod and is held together with superglue. Bass guitar tuning keys tension the strings.

It's honestly labelled work in progress. It plays, but it's very quiet and needs amplification, which the designer hadn't added yet. The tone was metallic, perhaps from the cheap strings, which were also too long and caused tuning trouble. The holes in each part were slightly undersized, so every piece needed sanding to fit the rod. There's no end-pin yet. Treat it as a starting point for your own remix.
