About the Trumpet mute set
A jazz trumpeter's set of the five mutes he uses most, all played and tested, and used on gigs. He compares the sound to stone-lined mutes. The current generation has thinner walls and larger stem holes, which make the Harmon and bubble mutes brassier and louder. If you haven't played a bubble mute before, the designer warns it takes some getting used to.
They print standing on end with no supports, and the 1.2 mm walls (three lines from a 0.4 mm nozzle) need no infill. For the corks, he recommends cheap self-adhesive cork coaster squares cut to shape: a single layer on the Harmon and bubble mutes, two layers on the cup, straight and bucket. Large prints, but simple ones.
