About the oboe reed plaque
When you scrape an oboe reed, a thin plaque sits between the two blades of cane to support them. The designer thinks this printed one works better than the shop-bought kind, and it costs almost nothing.
It has to be printed solid (100% infill) and sanded smooth. Your knife will mark it over time, so sand it again, or just print lots and swap in a fresh one when the old one is worn. An SLA printer saves a lot of sanding. The designer likes black, because you can see the cane well against it.
