About the oboe reed easel
Before gouged cane is folded and shaped, reed makers score it across the middle on an easel. This upload has a combined oboe and English horn easel, plus a baroque oboe easel with an extra score line for trimming cane to fit a Chiarugi folding shaper.
Each easel has a cap that holds by friction. To get that fit, the designer sets XY hole compensation to −0.1 mm in the slicer.
