About the Guitar pick collection
Picks are the easiest instrument accessory to print, and a great way to experiment, because thickness and material change the sound and feel. This set covers four popular shapes, each in a smooth and a grippy version. The standard 351 is the classic teardrop. The Jazz is small and pointed for precise single-note playing. The Triforce is a rounded triangle with three usable tips.
The Sharkfin is the odd one out. One edge has a row of five bumps that hit the string several times per stroke, giving extra attack and crunch when strumming. The smooth curved fin side gives a softer, more mellow tone, especially on acoustic guitar. Its shape also tucks neatly under your finger when you switch to fingerpicking.
Print them flat. Rigid filament (PLA or PETG) gives a bright attack, and flexible TPU gives a softer feel. Prusa's blog has a full article and video testing printed picks, linked below.
