About the Fret rocker
If one fret sits higher than its neighbours, the string buzzes against it. A fret rocker is a small straight-edged tool you lay across three frets at a time. If it rocks, the middle fret is high. This printed version reworks a commercial steel design for printing. A large cut-out in the middle saves material and doubles as a finger grip, and chamfered edges allow for elephant's foot on the first layers.
Each edge is a different length, marked in mm and inches, to span different groups of frets. For crisp text, use a small nozzle. The designers printed theirs with a 0.2 mm nozzle at 0.15 mm layers. A 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.3 mm works just as well, but the markings are less legible. Because it's plastic, check that your print is truly straight before trusting it.
