About the Alto sax stand
A simple, strong holder for an alto saxophone, either on a desk or screwed to the wall. It's built from a wall mount, four spacers and two mounting rods, joined with M4 bolts into heat-set threaded inserts. The designer printed it in ABS. PLA would be fine only if the stand stays cool and out of direct sun, because it carries the sax's weight continuously.
Print the wall mount on its side for strength, and the rods and spacers on their flat faces. With 5 walls and 30% infill it takes about 450 g, and the designer advises against anything weaker. Still far cheaper than a bought stand.
