Concerns: The designer says he doesn't know whether it fits every bassoon or is safe to use.
This design is on our Incomplete list of unfinished or unproven projects, not in the main library. It can still be a useful starting point for your own build; check the creator's page before you start.

About the bassoon boot joint cap
The designer rescued a neglected Lark bassoon that was missing its boot joint cap, the guard that covers the U-bend at the bottom of the boot joint, so they drew this simple replacement.
They're honest that they don't know whether it will fit other bassoons. Measure yours, print a test, and check it seats firmly before you rely on it. Rainbow filament is optional, and your orchestra director may have opinions.
